Topic: The Mystery of the 10 Virgins

Jesus said " Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom." - Matthew 25:1

There are two important information about the passage when you read through:

1. All were VIRGINS

2. Both Category were qualified to see the Bridegroom

It is also interesting for one to know what makes five foolish and the other wise and how it applies to believers: Matthew 25:1-13 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom [a]is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour [b]in which the Son of Man is coming.

The word of God says in Psalms119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."

The Word of God is the Light & Lamp that the virgins carried to show them the way; The Virgins are liken to be believers who carry the Word of God. carrying the word of God without His Spirit can not sustain you in this race.

1 Samue; 16:13 "Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah." The oil that the five virgins were lacking represents the HolySpirit of God. There are people who preach the Word of God without the Spirit of God. The foolish Virgins are like believers who are dried up of the HolySpirit of God just like Saul in the Bible immediately David was annointed.

John 16:13 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.".

How long have you been in the Church and uptill now you are lacking the Spirit of God?

God do not perform Miracles without His Spirit, there are people going about performing magics in disguise of Miracles done by the Spirit. Even Jesus had the HolySpirit of God according to Acts 10:38 " How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." Nothing happens by Chance or Coincidence, You cannot worship God without His Spirit, the Oil signifies the HolySpirit as used in those days.

Worship God in Spirit and in truth according to John 4:24 " God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” even in Genesis 1:2 which is the second verse "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." . Beloved, it is time for you to wake up to the Spirit of descernment.

Prayers:

1. My father , My God, Help me to serve you in Spirit and in truth

2. Help me to walk in your path and may my Spirit not run dry

3. Father give me the grace to be Faithful and to Worship you till the End
